Am I the only one?

I cannot be the only one who gets home from a fun filled and busy Pennsic to go through a length of 2-4 months of creative, and everything else, slump. Can I be?

A night of revelry at Pennsic 51 (2024)

Unpacking is hard!

I feel like I was superwoman before adding children to the mix, now it takes so much longer to recover! I just finally finished my post Pennsic laundry… 2 months later. I don’t know how I completed it so easily before kids, or kept as organized as I did. To be honest “finished” means a pile in the corner of the closet for hanging and folding later.

I am Grateful for…

I really enjoyed teaching this year, my first time teaching at Pennsic. I taught two classes, each two times. Self Stuffed buttons, and Punto in Aria lace making. I had not taught since before my children were born, and it felt really great to get back to that role. I really enjoy seeing the “Ah-ha!” moments for students.

I am really grateful for my camp mates, especially the fellow camp moms who, with our powers combined, make a magical setup for important nights like our camp party. Their skills dovetail so well together with mine and we make some really cool things happen.

For next year…

I very much want to teach again, probably more lace work, maybe a dress class, we will see when the time comes.

Thanks for reading!
